Second-Round Seat Allotment under RTE for the year 2024-25

In the 2024-25 academic year, the second round of seat allotment under the Right to Education (RTE) Act in Karnataka is set to take place through an online lottery on 25th June 2024. During the period from 25th June to 2nd July 2024, parents of each child who is allotted a seat will receive SMS notifications in both Kannada and English languages. Upon receiving this notification, the selected child’s parents are required to visit the departmental website, where they can enter the seat selection application number to obtain a printout of the seat allotment copy.

Subsequently, they must present this document along with the child’s original Aadhaar card and the RTE application at the chosen school to complete the registration process. It is important to note that the deadline for parents to enrol their child in the school is set for 2nd July 2024. Furthermore, the selected school has until 3rd July 2024 to update the enrolled child’s information online.

Karnataka RTE School Admission 2024-25: First Round on 7.6.2024

The Karnataka RTE School Admission for the academic year 2024-25 has experienced a shift in its schedule, as the Government of Karnataka has rescheduled the date for the lottery draw results. The Department of School Education, situated at the Commissioner’s Office on Nripatunga Road in Bangalore 560001, is managing this process in accordance with Section 12(1)(b) of the Right to Education Act 2009.

This alteration also includes an extension of the commencement date as stipulated in section 12(1)(c) of the Act. Despite the initial plan for the online lottery draw to occur on 05.06.2024, unforeseen circumstances, particularly related to the Election Code of Conduct, have led to a postponement. A revised timeline has been issued, with the first round of seat allotment through an online portal now scheduled for 07.06.2024. School enrolment is expected to begin from 08.06.2024 and continue until 19.06.2024, followed by the second round of seat allotment on 25.06.2024.

Karnataka RTE School Admission 2024-25 Last Date

The state government of Karnataka has recently made important updates to the admission process for the academic year 2024-2025. The deadline for admissions under the Right to Education Act (RTE) in all private unaided schools in Karnataka has been extended from the initial date of 22nd April 2024 to the revised date of 20th May 2024.

Karnataka RTE School Admission 2024-25 Lottery Result

Parents who wish to enrol their children must complete the online application process within the designated period, which runs from 22nd March 2024 to 20th May 2024. Following the submission of applications by 23rd March 2024, a thorough scrutiny of all applications will be conducted to ensure compliance with the regulations. The final list of eligible candidates for the lottery process will be announced on 1st June 2024, with the first round of seat allotment scheduled for 5th June 2024. Subsequently, the enrolment process in schools will commence from 6th June 2024 and run until 13th June 2024.

Karnataka RTE School Admission 2024-25 2nd Round Process on 25.6.2024

The second round of seat allotment, facilitated through online software, will take place on 19th June 2024, followed by enrolment in schools for the allocated seats from 20th June 2024 to 27th June 2024. Parents are advised to complete the second round of enrolment in schools by 20th June 2024 to secure their children’s admission in the desired institutions.
